Columbine
For my project about analyzing perspective, I chose the topic of Columbine. The Columbine massacre was one of the biggest and most well known school shootings to ever have happened. This topic fit perfectly with the thinking skill, and I really enjoyed it.
Art
For art, my original plan was to create a sculpture which showed the perspective of the Columbine killers. As the project process went on, I ended up taking a very different approach. For my final product, I analyzed twelve different sculptures that relate to Columbine. These pieces were ones which I felt reflected the emotions I originally planned to portray through a piece of my own.
English
For English, I looked at the perspectives of Columbine victims as well as the loved ones of the victims. I looked at two different victim perspectives. The first perspective was that of victims who are impacted in their daily life, as well as those who struggle with a trauma response known as dissociative amnesia. I displayed this information through a video essay.
