Project 1: Contextualization 

Eating Disorders & The Dance Industry

As a competitive dancer who has struggled with body image issues, the issue of eating disorders within the dance industry is one which is very near and dear to my heart. For this project I contextualized this issue.

Project 2: Analyzing perspective

Columbine

For this project, I took a look into Columbine. This is one of the most well known school shootings to probably ever occur. There are a lot of different perspectives which can be analyzed when it comes to this event. The topic was perfect for the thinking skill, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about this important part of our nation's history.

Project 3: reasoning

Drug & Alcohol Addiction

For my reasoning project, I looked at addiction to drugs and alcohol. I looked at why people turn to these substances, as well as comparing addiction in teens versus addiction in adults.

Project 4: Synthesis 

The Five Stages of Grief & Healing

I studied the five stages of grief for my synthesis project. I wrote a poem in the form of a letter which reflects these five stages, as well as choreographing a dance which focuses on the anger stage.
