The Meaning of Education
For my reasoning project, I essentially defined education. Oftentimes in today's world so much stress is put on things like grades that we forget what it truly means to be educated. This topic came about because I was interested in all of the flaws of the American school system and why it is that they are such an issue in today's society. In order to gain a deeper understanding of education, I read the novel Educated by Tara Westover. With the knowledge I acquired from this novel as well as additional research, I defined what in my mind it means to be truly educated.
Social Studies
For the social studies portion of project four, I created a mind map. This mind map explains the flaws of the American education system and the reasoning behind those flaws.
Art
For the art portion of this project, rather than creating an actual art piece, I wrote an essay. This essay explains and describes some untrained artists and their successes. One of my main points of this project was that what is considered to be a "traditional" education experience is not always necessary to become successful (and educated), so that is what this essay is created to reflect.

As previously stated, to help guide my research for this project, I read the novel "Educated" by Tara Westover. I created a reading log to show what I was reading. Then, I compiled a list of what, after reading the book, in my mind, makes a person educated.
